BAP identified a sales process set up to take a minimum of 21 days for a quotation when the acceptable time for the customer was under 10 days. Recommended solution that was accepted but which required changes in working practices.

BAP tasked with upgrading computer systems. Combined the task with rationalisation and service improvement - getting three jobs done for the price of one. Worked in conjunction with company staff to provide parts of this at little or no cost.

BAP came in ‘at-the-deep-end’ to take care of an ISO9000 audit. Checked that the process was in order. Recommended and agreed simplifications with the auditor. Passed with two minor comments.
Also produced a new product in weeks.

BAP examined the operation of a department that was able to carry out three projects at a time. Through re-organisation, introduction of systems on to existing computers and eliminating inefficiencies this was improved to five projects.

BAP carried out a study into alternative heating sources and energy saving for a processing company. The result was a recommendation for No Change backed by a full report that could be used to retain the climate change levy. Worth >£5k p.a.
No change = no longer term contract income!
BAP was asked to produce documents to support funding applications. A range of operational issues were identified. The MD refused to act on recommendations and the contract was terminated. His business terminated the following year.
